Stitching Together Network



It has been a delight to be part of the AHRC funded Stitching Together Network over 2019.

Led by Emma Shercliff and Amy Twigger Holroyd, the aim of this network is to investigate what exactly may be  happening when we use stitching as a participatory research methodology. A film about the first phase of the project - a residential at Clayhill Arts in Somerset in April 2019 is here.

I've written a few things for the Stitching Together site - an account of Scottish members meeting up to share research, a blog post about researcher wellbeing and a case study about working with Louise Scollay (aka @Woolwork) for Cleeking in the Archives.

An article about my own research and reflections on methodology of stitching together will be in the forthcoming special issue of the Journal of Arts and Communities - more here when it is published...
